Terms of Service

Effective date: September 4, 2026

These terms govern use of CutoutGuard, operated by Emre MUTLU. Installing or using the app means the merchant agrees to these terms.

Service

The app helps merchants preview and perform background-removal and related catalog-image operations. Live processing occurs only after an authorized merchant explicitly confirms it. Merchants remain responsible for reviewing planned changes and ensuring they have rights to process and publish the selected images.

Third-party services

The service depends on Shopify and Photoroom for current Shopify image processing and may use Vercel, managed PostgreSQL, and Cloudflare R2. Their availability and terms can affect the service. The app does not control those third-party platforms.

Fees

No app fee is charged during the limited review release. If paid plans are introduced later, prices and material limits will be presented in Shopify and require the merchant's approval before any charge.

Acceptable use

Merchants must not use the app unlawfully, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with the service, or process content they do not have the right to use. Access may be suspended when reasonably necessary to protect merchants, the service, or third parties.

Recovery and backups

The app records restore information before detaching original product media and does not intentionally delete Shopify Files. Recovery still depends on the relevant Shopify File remaining available. Merchants should maintain their own catalog backups for business continuity.

Disclaimer and liability

The service is provided on an as-available basis without guarantees of uninterrupted operation or a particular commercial result. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the operator is not liable for indirect or consequential loss. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liabilities that cannot legally be excluded.

Changes and termination

Merchants may stop using the service by uninstalling the app. These terms may be updated when the service or legal requirements change; the current version and effective date will remain available on this page.
